The best Shopify report PDF generators in 2026
If you need a polished monthly PDF for investors, a lender or a client, ReportWise is the fastest option: drop your Shopify orders CSV and download a designed report, with no app install and your first report free. If you need dozens of operational reports (inventory, tax, payouts) scheduled from a live store connection, a Shopify reporting app such as Report Pundit, Mipler or Better Reports is the better fit.

"Shopify report PDF generator" covers two quite different jobs. One is operational reporting: custom tables of orders, inventory, taxes and payouts, refreshed from your store and emailed to your team. The other is a presentation report: a monthly summary with charts and a short narrative that you send to someone outside the business.
Most tools on this list are built for the first job and can export a table to PDF. ReportWise is built for the second. Below is what each one does well, what it costs and where it falls short. We make ReportWise, so we've tried to be especially fair to the others.
1. ReportWise
Best for: Investor updates and monthly summary PDFs
A web app that turns a Shopify orders export (or Stripe, PayPal, Square, WooCommerce or bank CSV) into a designed PDF report. It works out revenue, growth, average order value, refunds and top products, and adds charts and a written summary.
Pricing: First report free. Then one-time packs: 5 reports for $5, 15 for $12, 40 for $30. Credits never expire and no subscription is needed; agencies can choose Pro at $19/month.
- No app install and no access to your store: the CSV is processed in your browser
- Output is a presentation-ready PDF, not a table export
- Pay per report with no subscription, which suits a once-a-month job
- Also handles Stripe, PayPal, bank and other sources in the same report format
- No custom report builder: three templates (investor update, sales report, P&L)
- No live Shopify connection, so you export the CSV each period
- Not for inventory, tax or fulfilment reporting
2. Better Reports
Best for: Merchants who want custom reports built for them
A long-standing Shopify reporting app with a flexible custom report builder and scheduled email delivery. Reviewers consistently praise its support team, which will build custom reports on request.
Pricing: Priced by Shopify plan, from about $19.90/month (Basic) to about $299.90/month (Plus).
- Very flexible custom reports across orders, products and customers
- Support team builds reports for you
- Reliable scheduled reports
- The most expensive option here on larger Shopify plans
- Output is report tables, not a designed summary document
- Requires installing an app with access to your store data
3. Report Pundit
Best for: Pre-built reports at a low monthly price
Around 150 pre-built Shopify reports (sales, payouts, tax, inventory, customers) plus custom reports, scheduling and export to Excel, CSV, PDF, Google Sheets and Slack. One of the most reviewed reporting apps in the Shopify App Store.
Pricing: Free for stores with under 1,000 lifetime orders; paid plans $9, $19 and $35 per month, with a 14-day trial.
- Large library of ready-made reports
- Low starting price and a free plan for small stores
- Exports to PDF, Excel, CSV, Google Sheets and Slack
- PDFs are exported report tables rather than a designed summary
- Free plan is limited to small stores
- Requires an app install and store access
4. Report Toaster
Best for: Shareable live reports and multi-store comparisons
130+ reports with custom filters, calculated fields, inventory history and comparison reports. Reports can be downloaded as PDF or CSV, shared as live links or scheduled by email, SMS or Slack.
Pricing: Free for Basic/Grow shops (90 days of history); $18/month on Basic/Grow, $60 on Advanced, $150 on Plus.
- Shareable live report links
- Good inventory history and comparison reports
- AI report builder
- Price rises with your Shopify plan
- Free plan only covers 90 days of history
- Tables and charts rather than a narrative report
5. Mipler
Best for: Custom reports plus AI analysis on a budget
100+ built-in reports, custom reports, dashboards and AI features, with export to PDF, CSV, Excel and Google Sheets and scheduled email reports.
Pricing: Free for stores with under 1,000 lifetime orders; $9.99/month (Basic) and $29.99/month (Pro) for stores on the Basic Shopify plan.
- Inexpensive paid plan with PDF export and scheduling
- AI report builder and analysis
- Profit, COGS, tax and payout reports
- Basic plan caps you at 10 custom reports
- Exports are report tables, not a designed document
- Requires an app install and store access
6. PayHelm
Best for: Multichannel sellers who need profit and fee analysis
Analytics across Shopify, Amazon, eBay and Etsy, with Stripe, PayPal and Braintree fee analysis, ad attribution and profit reports. Exports to PDF, Excel, CSV and Google Sheets.
Pricing: Free plan (12-month lookback); Entrepreneur $20/month, Business $100/month.
- Combines several sales channels and payment gateways
- Real profit after fees, shipping and ad spend
- Scheduled reports
- More analytics than you need for a simple monthly update
- Requires connecting your store and accounts

How to choose
Start with who reads the report. If it's your own team checking stock, taxes or daily sales, pick a Shopify reporting app: you want a live connection and lots of report types. If it's an investor, a bank, a board or a client who wants one tidy document a month, you want a report that's already designed and explained, and a reporting app's table export will need extra work in a spreadsheet or slide tool.
Then look at how often you need it. A monthly PDF doesn't justify a monthly subscription for many small stores, which is why ReportWise charges per report. If you run reports every day, a subscription app is better value.
Do I need to give the tool access to my store?
Every Shopify app on this list is installed in your store and reads your orders, customers and products through Shopify's API. That's what lets them refresh reports automatically. ReportWise takes the opposite approach: you export a CSV from Shopify admin and the file is processed in your browser, so ReportWise never sees your store or stores your data. Choose based on whether automation or minimal data access matters more to you.
